Deborah Batten

 Meet The Team

 Deborah Batten
Deborah is Firewolf Learning Networks Senior Education Adviser.

During twenty-five successful years as a teacher she has taught pupils in all Key Stages (KS1,2,3 and 4) as well as the sixth-form, but for the past 23 years she has focused on primary education. She has a degree in music  as well as a PGCE certificate. Despite qualifying as a headteacher gaining her National Professional Qualification for headship (NPQH) she prefers to stay working directly with children - although she spent time as an acting headteacher when a school needed urgent support.
Deborah is  fully qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader and holds a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate as well as Paediatric First Aid qualifications. She has an enhanced and current DBS certificate.

It is Deborahs' drive and commitment that created Dragonfire Outdoor Learning - an innovative approach to enriching and deepening children learning through not only learning knowledge about the 'outdoors' but also learning the skills and personal qualities 'from' it.
It is this deep held belief that children need to develop life skills and re-find a love of learning if they are to thrive and achieve well both in school and in life that underpins much of what we do.
