From September 2022 the strategic role of Governors has increased in importance especially regarding accountability during inspections. We offer confidential and helpful advise and training for Governors to develop their capacity to both influence, support and challenge as well as be prepared for inspections.
Making 'sense' of all the information that a Governor receives can be a daunting task!
The same data and evidence can so easily be used to make what at times sounds like very differing narratives and messages.
Yet Governors are charged to both support and challenge the school, whist continuing to ensure the leadership stays on a steady course to secure the agreed aims, objectives, values and purpose are met.
In so doing Governors are required to act not so much as a 'critical friend' but more as a 'moral compass' challenging whether leaders are staying on course as the school moves towards it ambitions and intentions.
This programme practically helps Governors in this task and offers strategic support and advise as they prepare for any inspection.
